Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund REVIEW

The story of the Halo game series was always an enigma to me. This was because I’d never played campaign mode at that time, only deathmatch mode. Then, I found Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. It proclaimed on the front in yellow letters “The Prequel to the Award-Winning Xbox game”.
I picked it up right away.
The book is sent in the 24th century. Man has colonized deep space, under the UNSC alliance, rather than countries. This alliance of men has been threatened by an alien threat hellbent on destroying the human race, with highly advanced plasma weapons.
They are a group of aliens called The Covenant.
Man is fighting back, and dying under the onslaught. The only hope is the highly efficent SPARTAN-IIs , a group of super-soldiers that never lose………but will that be true when fighting the aliens?
This book is not just recommended for gamers, but also fans of Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Orson Scott Card, and Tom Clancy.
Happy reading! 🙂
5 out of 5 stars.
